This engaging, collaborative workshop will allow attendees to expand their knowledge of the common causes and symptoms of skin and fungal conditions. The session will explore when to suggest and supply suitable medicines and products to customers with the necessary application of relevant policies and procedures to create greater health outcomes for customers.

Biography

Katy Johnson has worked in the pharmacy industry for over 10 years in a variety of different roles, beginning her career as a pharmacy assistant at 17 years old in rural NSW. Moving to Brisbane, Katy developed a strong interest in the dispensary and was offered the roles of Dispense Technician, Webster Packing and Dispensary Manager before undertaking Stock Controlling and Retail Management in the same store. An advocate for pharmacy assistants and the importance of their role, Katy encouraged versatility and a willingness to learn within her own team. In 2018, she worked as a pharmaceutical representative before taking a role as Workplace Trainer/Assessor role and more recently, Training Coordinator, at the Pharmacy Guild of Australia Queensland Branch, where she continues to support current and future pharmacy assistants with their training requirements.

Biography

Sherree Walters has been a Trainer/Assessor with the Pharmacy Guild since 2011. Prior to joining the Guild, Sherree worked as a pharmacy assistant for 17 years in New South Wales and the Australian Capital Territory, undertaking several different roles including dispensary technician, webster packer, dispensary manager, retail manager and group operations manager. Sherree currently assists with the training needs of all Certificate levels from Cert II to Cert IV as well as S2S3, fee for service course and dispensary courses.
