Biography

Dr Hartley Atkinson is a registered pharmacist with a Masters of Pharmaceutical Chemistry with Distinction and Doctorate in Pharmacology. He has published 30 research papers, including in the world-leading New England Journal of Medicine, and two book chapters. Following roles as Medical Director and Sales and Marketing Director at Roche, Hartley and his wife, Marree, founded AFT Pharmaceuticals in 1997. In 2015, AFT Pharmaceuticals listed on the ASX and NZX, with the founders maintaining a 70% stake in the business. Today, AFT sells in excess of $157M per annum in over 60 countries around the globe, including its main market of Australia.
