Biography

Georgina Odell has more than 25 years’ experience as a commercial lawyer. She acts for a range of business clients including pharmacists, dentists, medical practitioners, online health businesses, national peak body associations, education and care services, veterinary practitioners, gym and fitness businesses, and companies listed on the ASX. Georgina handles the sale and acquisition of businesses and companies particularly in the healthcare sector, and prepares a range of commercial agreements including partnership, shareholder and buy/sell agreements, terms and conditions of business (including for online businesses), privacy policies, data breach response plans, independent contractor agreements, and services and facilities agreements. She also advises on the leasing of commercial premises and in business disputes.

Biography

Douglas Raftesath has more than 25 years’ experience assisting clients to resolve disputes. He represents medium sized business owners in addition to multi-national corporations, listed companies and large privately-owned companies in a variety of partnership disputes and disputes arising out of the sale or purchase of businesses. Douglas advises clients on contract risk management strategies and assists them to develop processes and procedures to minimise the potential for risks and disputes. Douglas also assists clients with their general contract negotiations and administration including drafting general contract documentation and terms and conditions. Clients seek Douglas’ expertise in helping them to navigate and resolve disputes through various methods of alternative dispute resolution.
